Equi Safe Spa

We have worked in the Spa and Swimming Pool Industry for more than twenty years on commercial, private, hydro-therapy and equine pools including specialising in the servicing of horse spas. 

While completing a service on a Horse Pool for one of our customers we witnessed what happens when a horse gets nervous for some reason. In one particular case the horse ‘went down’ in the spa and we saw first hand the difficulty that the staff encountered while trying to open the doors inwards and also waiting on the pump to expel the water from the spa. This planted a seed with us to construct a safer spa for both the user and the horse and after many years of design, construction and numerous trials the Equi-Safe Spa was born.    

The Equi-Safe Spa is constructed from all non-corrosive materials such as stainless steel, acrylic and PVC, this will ensure long-life and years of maintenance free operation. It Spa has been designed with both the user and the horse in mind.

The Spa itself has been designed, constructed and trialled in-house and also on-site in order to ensure Build Quality and Design Quality in real-world applications.

The unique design involves the raising and lowering of a bath of 2100 litres of water which is in constant circulation and also chilled to desired temperature of (2degC to 6degC).

This bath is raised around the horse to whatever the required depth for the treatment. If a horse is being treated for the first time the bath can be raised slowly or can have variable water level so as to introduce the horse to the system gradually.

The bath of the spa has air jets fitted in line with the position of the horses legs to introduce oxygen to create a massaging effect on the legs and also to maintain fresh water is making contact with the legs at all times to maximise the chilling effect of the water.

The Spa can also be used with Epsom Salts so as to increase the therapeutic effect and therefore accelerate recovery etc.
